Born and raised in Minnesota, at the age of 12 I was bitten by the urge to learn more about Italian Renaissance artists, including writers. Education
I studied and/ or taught in Paris, Boulder, Bologna, La Jolla, New Haven, Portsmouth (NH), Atlanta, Minneapolis and Chapel Hill, earning a PhD in Italian Language and Literature and an MA in French.
