    About

Ariella Minden is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto. Having completed her BA at the same institution in 2015, she continued her studies at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Her MA thesis focused on the sixteenth-century reception of Francesco Francia. Ariella’s doctoral dissertation builds upon this research to evaluate Bologna’s role as a centre of printmaking using media theory as a lens through which to explore the emergence of a new artistic technology. Ariella has gained curatorial experience at the Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies in Toronto, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and the Gallerie Estensi in Modena. She has been a doctoral fellow in Prof. Alessandro Nova’s department since September 2018.
