About
I earned a MS in clinical psychology from Columbia University in 2004, and specialized in forensic neuropsychology and functional neuroimaging (fMRI). After working as a psychologist at an inpatient facility for 6 years, while simultaneously conducting Neuropsychological and Forensic assessments at a private practice in Austin, TX, as well as conducted fMRI research collaboratively via MHS & UHS and UT Austin. Further graduate research involved geographical profiling as a doctoral research assistant in a criminal justice program. However, I transferred to UT Dallas after a semester to earn a Phd in Criminology with an extra emphasis on international policy reform and community outreach and advocacy. Moreover, I was also earning a MS in GIS and Geospatial Intelligence. Working independently and across multi-and inter-disciplinary fields allots the ability to concentrate on aspects important to me, as well as travel to consult or present at conferences. My interests predominantly include: social and geo-political equity, geospatial intelligence, GIS and other advancements in technology (e.g., cartography, remote sensing), cross-cultural and eco-global interventions fostering sustainable development of initiatives to mitigate structural and direct violence, as well as dissemination of education and and pedagogy of the oppressed. Further interests focus on international policy reform, ecological analysis, and spatial humanities while aiming to cultivate social responsibility and community acceptance of diverse cultures. I’m also involved with vast non-profit organizations where I volunteer in many areas and fields of study (Contact me directly for further information). Finally, I am a competitive sailor and swimmer, as well as photographer. My long-term goal is continuing to travel around the world extensively in hopes to augment my breadth of knowledge and skills, as well as encourage more effective communication and community efforts toward improving healthcare, spatial equity and efficiency, as well as address environmental and social disorganization globally.
