Álvaro Albarrán is an assistant professor at the University of Seville, Spain, from which he has received both a bachelor’s degree in English Philology and a master’s degree in Linguistic, Literary and Cultural Studies. His current field placement is with the University of Seville’s Department of English and North American Literature, where he has provided academic assistance from 2013. Having published on a variety of topics, ranging from an edition of poems by the late Glenn Anthony Figueroa (1940-2013) to a series of articles centered on the literature of the early American republic, Álvaro Albarrán is currently conducting a diachronic analysis of Philip Morin Freneau’s poetic production under the supervision of Dr. Ramón Espejo Romero (University of Seville, Department of English and North American Literature).
