Examples of public humanities activities in undergraduate courses?

      Do folks have examples of publicly-engaged work built into undergraduate humanities courses? A couple of examples from my campus:

      • Students in a Spanish linguistics course on “Linguistic Landscapes” conduct a survey of area bilingal signage and make recommendations to city officials
      • Students in a German Environmental humanities course participate in a local initiative of the parks department to document individuals’ relationships with specific trees in city parks

      Can you provide any more examples like these? I’m looking for ideas to build into new courses. Thank you!
