Dear MSA forum members,

Please see attached flyer for an invite to a research evening, 5:00pm-6:15pm on Friday 21 May at the Hartley Concert Room, The University of Adelaide.

Two leading Melbourne-based researchers will be in Adelaide in connection with Adelaide Baroque’s 22 May performance of music of the Bohemian composer Jan Dismas Zelenka. A/Prof Jan Stockigt is one of the foremost researchers of music of Zelenka; Dr Fred Kiernan is both a researcher and editor of Zelenka’s music. At the 21 May event, they will present the following talks:

Fred Kiernan — Editing Zelenka’s “Gaude, Laetare” (ZWV 168) 

Jan Stockigt — Adelaide and a volume of Beethoven’s Lieder: a relic from the childhood of Alexandra Feodorovna (1872–1918), the last Empress of Russia.
