      Can anyone point me in the direction of recordings, oral histories, writing, etc. on the type of songs which V. Sriram is talking about in this interview?  The video is an excerpt of Soumik Datta’s B.B.C. documentary series “Rhythms of India”. I am beyond curious and excited to learn about the intersection between Carnatic music & India’s independence movement. If you have information or know someone who does, please get in touch!
