The Cultural Trauma Studies group seeks to bring together scholars in the field by providing a platform where a healthy exchange of ideas can take place. Issues of potential interest and exchange include, but are not limited to, literary portraits of trauma and positive post-traumatic states (resistance, resilience, revolts, growth, and even healing) and those from marginalized communities and/or World Literature. Other pertinent topics might include: ways in which the literary arts might provoke these positive post-traumatic conditions. Of particular interest is interdisciplinary research by scholars who have worked closely with trauma specialists from clinical, social, and the hard sciences.
