I was hoping that someone could answer a question for me and help me out a little. I am a PhD student in Classics with very little background on Buddhism. I am preparing a series of blog posts on gods and myths related to writing in different cultures of the world and I read somewhere that the bodhisattva Manjushri is somehow related to wisdom, writing and poetry. Is this true? And if it is, where could I find more and reliable information about this?
If anybody knows any other deity/myth/mythical character/tradition in Buddhism related to writing, I would really appreciate it if you could let me know and leave a reference to it.
If you would like to see what I did for other cultures so that you can help me or just out of curiosity, you may see previous posts here: https://crewsproject.wordpress.com/category/writing-gods-and-myths/
Thank you very much for your help!
