English Literature on Humanities Commons 2 years ago In the archipelago areas like Maluku, there are multiple approaches to establishing an
academic structure for a groundbreaking English language education initiative. The
first step involves evaluating the program’s objectives and the requirements for the
students. It is crucial to identify the challenges and opportunities that can support the
students in the region, including limitations in accessing high-quality English language
instruction and ineffective teaching methods. In addition, fostering partnerships
between academic institutions and the business sector is crucial to creating English
language curriculum programs that meet the demands of the market. This can be
achieved by establishing collaborations with businesses and offering apprenticeship
programs that are specifically designed to enhance the employability of recent
graduates. Moreover, educators of English as a second language should adopt innovative teaching methods and provide practical learning experiences to enhance
their students’ English language skills. Additionally, students should be encouraged to
engage in extracurricular activities to develop their talents and interests. Lastly, it is
essential to continuously evaluate and adjust the academic plan to ensure its
effectiveness and relevance. By implementing these strategies, students will be better
equipped to navigate the complexities of the global job market, while also raising the
standard of English language education in island regions like Maluku.
