The Irish Famine was the worst famine in the Irish history. It precluded deaths of over one million citizens and caused the exodus migration of the Irish to the United States, Canada and all other parts of the world. The famine was caused by the infestation of Irish potatoes by late blight, Phytophtora infestans. But the highlight was the neglect by the British government during this crisis, even though they did contribute a bit but it wasn’t enough. Hence, the Irish are still engraved with this memories. The British government has yet to pay compensation. In this piece of research work, we considered the need for the British government to compensate the victims inorder to prevent future diplomatic ties.
