• Various stakeholders must be involved in the implementation of the Republic Act
No. 11510 or the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Act. The initiative of DepEd
Region X to organize training sessions for teachers and stakeholders regarding
the ALS Act and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) is a crucial step in
guaranteeing the success of the program. This study reports quantitative
evaluation of the training where it involved 625 participants. A 20-item pretest
and posttest were given, and the participants scored 11 and 17, respectively. It
was established that there is significant difference in the score increment at .05
alpha level. Moreover, the participants revealed that they are very satisfied in the
training, specifically in the following areas: program management, delivery of
content, technical working group, training team, training venue, and NEAP
accommodation. Insights into the program’s long-term effects and tactics for
maintaining the program over time were gained as outcomes of evaluating the
    training.
