All Light, Expanded is the digital companion to the 2021 film, All Light, Everywhere, which won the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Nonfiction Experimentation. The film itself is a non-linear experimental documentary that explores the intertwined histories of cameras, weapons, and policing. The director, Theo Anthony, is a Baltimore native and so the film’s narrative weaves its way through these international and national histories alongside a particular focus on Baltimore City, an early adopter of aerial police surveillance of its majority Black population.
