General Wang Puchen 王 蒲 臣, the author, was the classmate of Dai Li 戴 笠, Mao Renfeng 毛 人 凤 at Wenxi Higher Primary School in Jiangshan County. General Dai was the National Intelligence Director of the ROC, and General Mao was the Head of the ROC Secrecy Bureau 保 密 局 in Taiwan. In 1921, General Wang graduated from Zhejiang Provincial Ninth Normal School . In 1935, he was transferred to be the curator of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Education Center 江 苏 省 民 众 教 育 馆 馆 长. In the same year, under Dai Li’s persuasion, he joined the ROC 军 统 局. In 1941 General Wang attended Central Military Academy (黄 埔 ) sixth class. General Wang served as the Director of the Bureau of Investigation and Statistics in Beijing (保 密 局 北 平 站 督 察 长) of the ROC Secrecy Bureau 保 密 局 (formerly 军 统) in 1948 and he was the Coordinator for the historical cease fire event between ROC and the Communist Party of China in Beijing (formerly Beiping ) in 1949.
