We analyse and reflect on the workshop developed in several secondary schools, under the title “Beyond copy and paste: do original works and improve your grades!” and whose objectives have been to assume the importance of gathering reliable and adequate information, knowing some sources of information and documentation useful for academic work, presenting some simple information search strategies, understanding what plagiarism and originality are, learning to quote the sources in a simple and practical way and understand the basic structure of an academic work.
