Sam Reenan created the event in the group Composers of Color Resource Project on Humanities Commons 5 years, 6 months ago
Title:
Description: On Friday 31 July at Noon eastern, we invite you to join our third group analysis over Zoom focused on music by composers of color. We are working to compile resources for classroom music theory teaching, which we have been populating in this Google Sheet. Over the long term we plan to post public domain scores, as well as analytical notes, possible lesson plans, and links to biographical and historical context on Humanities Commons.
For this meeting, we plan to focus on organizing our data by:
- Evaluating the difficulty of examples as introductory, moderate, and advanced;
- Making a handout for a topic or piece; and
- Writing short lesson plans for a topic or piece.
