Ostap Kushnir deposited Ukraine in the post-truth environment, or Future shocks of the global village in the group Group logo of Soviet and Russian history and cultureSoviet and Russian history and culture on Humanities Commons 5 years, 11 months ago

Alvin Toffler and Marshall McLuhan: both are futurologists who theorized about the impact of information exchange on societies. In the late 1960s, Toffler came up with the concept of future shock, while McLuhan “invented” the global village. I dared combining these two concepts into a sort of “theory of everything” to explain political processes centred around Ukraine: post-truth, nationalist rhetorics, revival of nation-state.
