• This is a pre-review, preprint of a contribution to volume on abandonment in antiquity edited by Deb Brown and Rebecca Seifried that will by published by The Digital Press at the University of North Dakota in 2019. The article documents visits to an “abandoned” settlement called Lakka Skoutara in the southeastern Corinthia over a period of over 15 years. These visits show that far from being abandoned and neglected, the buildings at the site, some of which date to the early 20th century, continue to be the centers of various activities, modifications, use, and curation.
