Hi, all! I’m an Associate Professor of English and Chicanx Studies at UCLA. My first book, Chicano Nations, was about nationalism and Chicanx lit from the 19th century through 9/11 and the War on Terror. I just completed a second book, out in June 2019, called Racial Immanence, about uses of the body in contemporary Chicanx cultural production. I’m Director of Professionalization in the English Department, so I really need to put my money where my mouth is and finally develop my online presence. Hoping this summer camp will give some structure to that amorphous goal.
